Technology and Globalization is bringing people and jobs closer that is true to some extent. Marriage too is something that
is being done in ways that we no longer understand. It''s no longer about marrying your next door neighbor whom you know so well but marrying someone miles away whom you know nothing about.
In the old African traditional marriages and to some extent even up today for example, Parents, Aunties, and in some communities the elders used to choose marriage partners for there older children of marrying age because of so many reasons.
One of them being that as elders or guardians they had better judgment of character than the children themselves and as we all know the saying that love is blind as usual, when two people are in love they really can''t see far.
But of course people these days choose their own partners with the exception of a few cases where the old practices are still there. People may meet whom ever they want to meet or like and marry without considering so many things.
Online dating is one of the way in which people meet their would be partners for marriage without knowing their true identities and background and may end up with just about anybody like a former convicts, prostitute, drug addicts to mention but a few.
So is online dating a myth or reality or do we have stick to the ways of our ancestors, like of Parents choosing for their children marriage partners or should parents let their children make their own chooses. Or is it going to be either ways or all ways possible.
